As a mom myself, I understand how challenging it can be to take care of ourselves. We get so caught up with caring for others, we tend to forget about the most important person, ourselves. Becoming a parent turns you into a selfless creature. My goal and passion is to assist other moms in guiding their way back to self-love and self-care. Self-love and self-care come in many different forms. I have faith that together, we can find ways to nurture ourselves back to a healthier existence, both physically, mentally, and spiritually. In order to build healthy relationships with others, we need to build a healthy relationship within us first. When we are able to love ourselves unconditionally, we can become a more positive contribution to the universe. Let's begin...

I'm a single mom to three brilliant girls. The oldest is away in college and my second will be attending college September 2015. I had my girls at a very early age but understood quickly, the need for mental strength and a healthy foundation within myself. My mom was also a teen mom, and I wanted to break that cycle with my girls. I was insecure and sought love through many different forms. None of which came from within me. It wasn't until I turned 31 that I had a breakdown or as Dr. Brene Brown's therapist calls it a "spiritual awakening". It was then when everything was stripped away from me literally and figuratively speaking that I had to start all over. Hence, the beginning on my spiritual journey and the desire to assist others in building a strong relationship within themselves. |
I have a license in nursing and a bachelors in business. I'm currently in the process of obtaining certification to become a health and wellness coach. As fancy as all of that sounds, my true passion in supporting other women started when I was in my mid-twenties through personal experiences, which of course, are priceless. I have a great circle of girlfriends which I cherish, love, and truly appreciate. I'm a girl's girl or (more age appropriate) a woman's woman. Through my years of friendships with women, it has enhanced my understanding in what we go through coupled with my own personal experiences and raising three girls alone. Not only am I surrounded by women in my personal and social life but I also work in the healthcare industry surrounded by the majority of female nurses. So yea, if you can't tell, I'm surrounded by women every single day! I am very grateful for all of the beautiful interaction I have with women. We really do need to support one another. I know I truly appreciate the support I receive!
I absolutely admit to not knowing everything but I do know that the best approach is to keep an open mind. Everyone's journey is different. Who am I to judge? I have always been judged for being a teen mom (read a bit more about my past here), and I'm positive judgments about me will always continue and that's okay. My love for self is unconditional. I'm here to expand the heart of self-love and provide a safe and positive environment encouraging others to live at their fullest healthiest potential.
